Checkin in (also known as avoiding unpacking)

Q: What do I do when I want to stop unpacking?

A: I have been working on the pictures from a photo shoot I did in the Bahamas. Yes, I found a family that actually wanted pics and managed to convince them I would not rip them off and supply them with the photos.

Can I just say that I love connecting in other countries? This family is from Toronto. We'd have never crossed paths except for this chance of taking the same week to vacation at the same resort. It feels so, old-school-summer-holiday-in-a-victorian novel to get to know other families and exchange information so you can keep in touch after you part. 

Another family we connected to: Ethiopians. I totally won a bet with Hubs when I spied a few cute kids and said I am almost positive those kids are Habesha. He said I was reaching. I did what I always do in these situations, and attempt to prove myself right.


They totally were. And their parents were extremely kind. Thanks folks for your applause, I can now pick Ethiopians out of a crowd.

Love it. And love those boys I got to photograph. Aren't their freckles are GORGEOUS?

Ok, ok, I will go unpack another box. But I don't think it's fair that Hubs gets to go travel this week, I ought to save a few boxes for him...
